I have always been curious to know about all the investments Larry (Tey Por Yee) made in his career.
Here’s my attempt to provide a timeline of how Larry Tey evolved into what he is today.
Year 2005
One of Larry early investment, Nextnation Communication, went public. Larry has over 7 investments in different companies, span across USA, Singapore and Malaysia.
Year 2005-2008
The year Nextnation Communication expanded their business to over 12 countries world wide. The capital market provides fuel and guidance for Larry's globalization plan.
Larry other investment went wild from telecommunication, to engineering, construction, shipping, mining and various industries. The natural resources super cycle have made good fortune for investments Larry joint invested - many of which went public in various stock exchanges.
Larry participated in several private equity ventures, and formulated his foundation concept to re-invest majority of his net worth in sustainable growth, education, medicine and humanity.
Year 2008-2012
Larry joined Global Capital as Business Advisor, providing business advisory, especially cross country merger & acquisition and corporate dealing. Serving high net-worth clients especially in off shore asset structuring and succession planning provides Larry access to International investors and business communities.
Over the years, Larry have directly and indirectly joint invested in hundreds of start-ups businesses across 4 continents, nurtured many entrepreneurs, encouraged even his clients and suppliers, partners and associates to start-up new businesses.
Private equities where Larry joint invested have made head winds in Greater China and Indonesia, especially in renewable energy, and Oil & Gas industries. Few made it to public listings.
Year 2012-2015
One of Larry old friend, an International banker, as market perceive as "call for national duty", brought Larry back to invest in his home country, Malaysia. Larry has since involved in several public listed companies in restructuring and growth by merger & acquisition, as well as investment in supporting and new promising businesses.
Learn from Larry's high net-worth clients overseas, his mission is to turns his small aging company, renamed Nexgram Holdings, to become one of his vehicle for Asia Pacific investments.
More to be expected from Larry, given time, the results and numbers shall speaks.
